With ArtsFest only one month away excitement throughout the City is building!

 

3000 artists…

          600 events…

                        50 venues…

 

                                      1 GREAT Weekend  11th – 13th September 09

 

                                                                                         & did we mention it’s all FREE!

 

 

Full programme listings will be available towards the end of this month. Keep checking back here, and visit our website www.artfest.org.uk The printed programme will be available two weeks prior to the festival, with the online programme containing further artist and event details being available towards the end of this month.

 

 

*Weekend Highlights Released so far Include:

 

Friday Night Launch

Friday 11th September, 5-11pm

-Various venues

A fantastic, eclectic launch to the weekend including Smooth Sounds on Centenary Square Stage, the BBC Big Band in the Town Hall, and a whole mix of jazz, indie, soul, blues and world music. Plus another late night opening at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, with performances, exhibitions and candlelit dinners in the Museum Restaurant.

 

 

Classical Fantasia

Saturday 12th September, 8-10pm

The Stage @ Centenary Square

Birmingham’s Internationally renowned companies Birmingham Royal Ballet, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra & Birmingham Opera Company give stunning performances, all rounded off with a spectacular fireworks display.

 

 

KerrangFest                       

Sunday 13th September, 12-10:30pm

The Stage @ Centenary Square

Headlined by Athlete & Reverend and The Makers, some of the region’s best unsigned bands will take to the stage, including The Arcadian Kicks, Templeton Pek and the Mexicolas.
