Pericles through to the next stage of Live & Unsigned

PericlesPerforming at ArtsFest for the first time in 2008, solo artist Pericles has been given the big thumbs up by judges at the Live and Unsigned auditions. Along with the other most impressive acts at auditions, Pericles has made it through and will now be performing at the area semi-finals in Leamington Spa on 4th April.  Competing against thousands to get this far, Pericles has shown musical ability, originality and professionalism and will now compete for a place in the National finals with the possibility of grabbing that break through recording contract.

For those wishing to see Pericles perform in Birmingham, he will also perform at the Yardbird, Centenary Square, on 25th February as part of Galvanise.

Submissions being accepted for new blog

ArtsFest performers, the Midlands based multi media co-operative Wrote Under, are proud to announce the re-launch of their blog:

www.wroteunder.wordpress.com

For those of you with something to say they are currently accepting submissions of articles, stories, poetry, songs, pictures etc… Simply send your submission to Elizabeth.smith4@students.bcu.ac.uk

They will also be posting news of their activities, sharing some of their creative output – writing, artwork, music, piffanies and all that – and hopefully finding lots of odd stuff to amuse you with … or finding odd stuff to say about boring stuff, at the very least.
