Debriefs begin
Well ArtsFest 2008 is over and the festival has proved a resounding success once again! Tens of thousands of you sat out the torrential rain on the Friday night to rejoice in the activities for Birmingham’s first ever Light Night. For those of you who enjoyed the outdoor projection onto the Council House look out for the link to You tube, coming soon. Crowds continued to amass throughout the weekend, and luckily that yellow orb like thing appeared in the sky, which meant the Fireworks and tutus and the Levellers was well attended. We are still gathering in information about the audience attendance at indoor venues and workshops, but early figures show we were busier than last year.
Back in the office….
We have sadly waved goodbye to Kate, however her camping table and cafetiere cover are still here in the office, so we haven’t lost all contact!
Emily and I are both in and out the office between taking some time off and starting the debrief sessions we hold every year with partners, sponsors and artists. If you attended the event and would like to comment about what you saw, heard or participated in then please do go to the website and add your comments to the Community page. All feedback is taken on board and used to continually develop the festival and improve our services. If we don’t know what went wrong for you or what went well we can’t do anything about it!
Well I’ll sign off for now but would like to say a massive thank you to all those artists, volunteers, venues, technicians and Event Officers who worked tirelessly to make ArtsFest 2008 the best yet!
If you would like to get involved with ArtsFest next year then keep an eye out on the website www.artsfest.org.uk for artist and volunteer applications.
Elise
